 Some highlights from the festival:

1. Cornish-made shorts, features, documentaries and dance films by filmmakers and students from across the county. Two juried competitions plus Cornish-produced documentary Diary of a Disgraced Soldier and Samantha Price’s production of Bad Company.  

2. Reel Cornwall. Footage from the BFI archives dating back to 1904, including promotional films from Holmans of Camborne and the Great Western Railway.

 

3. A special screening of the climate-change blockbuster The Age of Stupid, followed by a panel discussion led by Mark Paterson of the Eden Project. Special guest: TAOS cast member and wind farm developer Piers Guy.

 


4. Premieres of feature films weeks or months before they’re released in the UK, including DisgraceThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Glorious 39.
 
5. Insights into The Men Who Stare at Goats and Other True Tales of Everyday Craziness – book and film – with special guest, author and journalist Jon Ronson.  
   6. Murray Lachlan Young, performance poet and BBC Radio broadcaster, hosted this year's Awards Ceremony.
