CORNWALL FILM FESTIVAL 6th - 9th November 2008
The Cornwall Film Festival is an annual festival dedicated to exhibiting and marketing Cornish filmmaking and developing relationships with the wider industry. The festival offers local and national premieres, master-classes, workshops, discussions and networking events for everyone from the enthusiast to the professional.
Now in its seventh successful year, the Cornwall Film Festival 2008 is proud to introduce the ANOTHER COUNTRY International Short Film Award which aims to bring interesting and diverse filmmaking from the world’s towns and rural areas to Cornwall. Board Shorts, our annual surf/skate film event is also open to international submissions this year and SCREEN ACTIONS, the Cornish Film Festival run by young people offers screenings, workshops and fun networking events for our young audience.

In addition to the Cornish Features and Cornish Shorts categories which are open to Cornish residents only, The Cornwall Film Festival 2008 is pleased to welcome international submissions for the ANOTHER COUNTRY International Short Film Award and Board Shorts, our surf/skate film event.
SCREEN ACTIONS, the young people's festival is also currently open to submissions.

Festival Welcomes New Director Danielle Jenkin
Danielle Jenkin who has recently been working for Channel 4 has returned to her native Cornwall to direct this year’s festival. “Building on its continued success, I want to ensure the Cornwall Film Festival remains the place to showcase new and established talent in the Cornish film industry” says Jenkin. “As always, the Festival will enhance opportunities for filmmakers to discuss future projects and forge new collaborations. This year the Another Country International Short Film Award will enable a global audience to experience the unique backdrop and talent that Cornwall has to offer”.
